A busy off-season has continued for the Oakland Athletics as they have dealt catcher John Jaso, shortstop Daniel Robertson and outfielder Boog (Herschel Mack) Powell to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for Infielder/outfielder Ben Zobrist and shortstop Yunel Escobar. Jaso appeared in 99 games for the Athletics last season and hit nine homers and drove in 40 runs while posting a .264 batting average.
